MOUNTAIN BIKING

Mountain Bike magazine readers rated West Virginia as 4th in world as "favorite mountain bike destination."

From the back roads and gentle trails along contour lines to intermediate trails with easy grades to the extreme sport of a killer ride down 1,500 vertical feet of Snowshoe's Cupp Run, Snowshoe mountain biking is for everyone.  Snowshoe maintains over 100 miles of trails on its property.  Several trails begin at Tri Ski Condominiums at Snowcrest.

The nearby Greenbrier River Trail offers 75 miles of less than 1% grade featuring spectacular pastoral, river, and woodland scenery.  The trail traverses 35 bridges and sneaks through 2 tunnels while paralleling the Green brier River.

Two biking centers offer trained professionals, guided tours, top of the line rentals, trail passes, tour maps, equipment, and accessories.

Snowshoe's biking trails and biking rental and service centers are open 8:00 am to sunset daily from May to October.  A shuttle bus for you and your bike take you to the top of the mountain daily from May to October and weekends during the rest of the biking season.

GOLF

The Gary Player designed Raven Golf Club par 72, 18 hole golf course is ranked the #2 golf course in West Virginia by Golf Digest and a top ten new course throughout the country by Golf magazine and by USAir magazine.  Spectacular mountain scenery and 200 foot tee to green elevation drops make the course magnificently beautiful and challenging.
